Potty?

Ooooo and learning to use the potty commences tomorrow for my youngest, it's gonna be fun!! x

'hello.......is it me you're looking for?'

Hello hello,
                 I know it's been so long you've probably forgotten what i look like (hmmmmm if you knew before...) apologising muchly.
Have been to a fabulous outdoor production of 'much a do about nothing' this evening with my lovely girl friends in Newcastle. Many laughs, tea, cake and jam scones Mmmmmmmmmm. Would highly recommend.
Almost got blown away on the way home, rather windy on the top of the hill we call home. love it!

Going to try and blog a bit more over the summer hols, with kids at home i'm sure there'll be much hilarity to chat on about.

The last place i ever expected to find a mouse.

For the past month or so my car alarm has been going off in the middle of the night, sometimes three or four times, i've been sleeping with my car keys!!! and am shattered as a result of the disturbed sleep.

At first we thought it might be the battery conking out, but it sits in the drive merrily all day with nothing going off.

very strange.....

Anyhow the plot thickens, i opened the boot to get the pushchair out last week to find it had been nibbled and there were mice droppings in there!!! how on this earth did a mouse get into the boot of my car?

So we set a trap filled with chocolate buttons (mice are rather partial to chocs) and that night the alarm went off as usual (around 2.30ish), next morning we had caught the culprit. Or so we thought.....

The next night the car alarm went off again, What?!! so we set another trap and yes we caught yet another little rodent. 

Question is, and I don't really like thinking about it too much, have i been driving around with a family of mice in the boot? or are they somehow getting in at night?

Anyhow, since the eviction of mouse number two the car alarm has ceased it's nightly flashing and wailing, so i can only come to the conclusion that my car is now mouse free.

Jam and Jerusalem

Can you believe it, i'm going to the monthly Hedley WI (women's institute) meeting tonight. my lovely new neighbour has invited me along, sounds fun!! bring on the jam making!!! will give you all the low down when i get back x

5 little words!!

It is truly amazing the healing power that is held in those words 'you can stay off today'. Within 30 seconds the tiredness had faded, but the heavy cold did remain. So one little semi-poorly girl at home and an afternoon snuggling up to watch movies. Quite a nice alternative to housework!!! xxx

Shattered but feeling good!

Well today was the day, i had my first cake stall, hopefully the first of many. My aim was to promote the business and at least break even, made a great profit of £60, (bonus!!!) and lots of interest for future orders. All in all a success, shattered but happy. Oh and a BIG thank you to those who bought cakes today (that's what it's all about) xxx

Hello lovely people!! well it's been an epic bank holiday weekend. the girls had there belated birthday party on saturday at a lovely little pottery studio in Hexham, muchly enjoyed by all! And I launched into the world of summer fetes and farmers markets today (more of that later) xxx
